Wellbeing Redefined
Monday 19th January - Friday 23rd January 2026.
Our theme, Wellbeing Redefined, is dedicated to challenging our current perceptions and understanding of mental health and wellbeing. We want to show that being well is a holistic concept that’s woven into every part of life - shifting the focus from quick fixes to building practical, daily skills. We'll be exploring ESF's new framework, which defines wellbeing across three essential, interconnected areas: People & Relationships, Identity and Health.
Each day will have a different focus, sharing tools and developing skills...
Monday: Rest and Recharge
Tuesday: Connection: quality over quantity
Wednesday; My Healthy Reaction
Thursday: Control the controllables
Friday: WIS is a great place because....
With activities during registration, tutor time and during lunch time, let's redefine wellbeing and have fun!

The pressure of studying can feel overwhelming, with mounting workload, exams looming and expectations rising. Balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments can be a juggle and in this high-stakes environment, it's easy to lose sight of your goals and the strategies necessary to achieve them.
The Post-16 workshop series was designed to empower students with the tools and techniques needed to thrive during this critical time.
Unlock Elite Cognitive Performance: Managing Stress Like a Pro with Cavan Chan provided practical strategies to keep stress in check, optimise sleep and enhance your focus.
"I highly appreciated attending the “Unlocking Elite Cognitive Performance” workshop, where Mr Cavan Chan guided us through the reasons for ineffective sleep and shared his insights into how technology can allow us to better understand our sleep patterns, ultimately optimizing our cognitive efficiency for a productive start to the day." - Chinny Kwok, Year 13
Pure Mindfulness with Dino Hira guided students in cultivating a calm and centered mindset, helping them navigate the chaos of exam season.
Beat Procrastination and Get Focused with Shiralee Sissons equipped students with effective techniques to overcome distractions and maintain motivation.
"I found the session to be engaging and helped me unlock new ways to tackle and manage both stress, and the IB workload." - Brandon Yip, Year 13
Coaching Your Way to Success with Mr Garvey inspired students to set goals and develop a personalized approach to achieving them.
"I learned that sometimes active listening is all you need to provide someone if they need to tell someone there problems, and before jumping into trying to help them, listen to understand the full picture first." - Borri Gibb, Year 13
Managing Exam Nerves and Anxiety with Joe Clarke offered valuable insights on turning anxiety into a motivating force.
"I learnt about stress relieving techniques. For example where you tense the muscles in your body and then suddenly relax them. We practiced this with our friends and it was very fun to experiment. Surprisingly, I learnt of the importance of allowing yourself to shake when you are nervous or stressed and how it is a natural response to such emotions. We also practiced shaking and although it seemed strange, I can understand the benefits of this strategy." - Savannah Chilton, Year 13
